- percy was born in a religious cult somewhere in midwestern usa, where he was a child of the cult's priest and one of the priest's many women that he had sexual relations with in an attempt to conceive a boy that could take up the priest position after him. percy was the first boy, after seven girls. his mother was young, only fifteen years old.
- he was a lonely child. he was the priest's son, so all of the cultists were told not to interact with him because if they stepped out of line in front of him, they would be dead within a heartbeat. not many people talked to him, and he was a little bit of a mama's boy in which he only really spoke to and interacted with his mother for a long time. he also spoke to his older half-sisters. even so, when he was around three, his mother started to notice that he was talking more. he grew very talkative and started trying to make conversation by himself constantly.
- trigger warning: when he was four years old, his father started training him to become the next priest and to teach him how to act in general. he was taught to never move, speak, or express any emotion unless asked to. his father would place him in situations where he would make him watch something unsettling like a person dying or being placed near an animal such as a snake, and if he cried or moved or yelled his father would beat him.tried
- trigger warning: his father tried to have another boy with his mother later on, since he thought percy was a bit of a lightweight and couldn't handle the job of being priest. she gave birth to a little girl named victoire when percy was six, but his mother died in childbirth and his father got angry that it wasn't a boy and he beat victoire to death.
- he met a boy named adam when he was seven years old, the one person who actually talked to him. he wasn't best friends with adam, but he was the only person he talked to, so he appreciated how adam's friendly nature made it easier to talk to him.
- trigger warning: he attended his first mass with a human sacrifice when he was eight. he hadn't been aware of what was going to happen, so when the man was slaughtered, percy was standing right beside his father, who had performed the sacrifice, and had immediately started crying. his father was furious and made a huge scene in front of everyone, and locked percy in a small, claustrophoic, empty isolation room for two weeks with little to eat or drink. after the event, he lost almost all of who he had been before, and talked rarely. this was probably the beginning of his roboticness and obedience to his father, because he was scared.
- his life was pretty much uneventful from then until he was fifteen, when his father tried to lead a mass suicide in the cult. there was a girl around percy's age who he tried to marry before the suicide. he had felt something when he had watched his afther trap her in the basement, and had tried to leave a window open in the basement for her.
- trigger warning: the mass suicide happened before the girl left, and it was only him and his father in the cult left, which scared him to death. after ellie had escaped and told the authorities, his father had commit suicide and percy had hidden in his closet, and had been found by the authorities almost passed out in there because his father had barely fed him after the mass suicide.
- he was constantly interviewed by talk shows and therapists after being found, and sent to a foster home in hopes of being fostered.

- he's a bit of a robot in which he doesn't know how to convey emotions. hems very hesitant still about letting peopl know what he's feeling, and it takes time for him to warm up to someone and truly express himself with them.
- now that he has a wide access to all kinds of different forms of media, he enjoys comics to some extent because of ellie and really enjoys watching 80's movies. he watches a lot of them, and one might say he watches them to distract himself every chance he gets.
- his past still haunts him, and it's not something that he openly talks about with very many people. he doesn't even really like to think about it
- he's trying to train himself to convey expressions and emotions more easily, and to be better at communicating. he wants to be a normal person, but he's trying to figure out who he's supposed to be before that.
- he eventually becomes his own person, growing more kind hearted and brash and adventurous, and creating a different persona for himself away from what he's been taught.
- he has an emotional support dog, a golden retriever named apollo.
- he developed anxiety and schozoid personality disorder from his experieneces in the last retreat, but he doesn't take any medication for it.
- his only actual friend is really apollo, he really loves his dog. he had never even seen one before the cult, and didn't know what to rxpect, but apollo is the most loving and supportive dog and percy has taken a huge liking to him, he's a huge part in how he develops as a person. he also eventually ebcomes friends with ellie, but that's later on.
- he loves the water. he's been to the ocean once or twice before, but he loves it. the first thing he did was learn how to swim, because really, he feels like the water is his element. it's where he feels truly at home, and he goes swimming with apollo when he can.
- he has anxiety attacks more often than he admits, just because he's so hesitant and nervous and doesn't know how to handle interaction and communication and the world in general. he's a bit of a basket case, but that's why he had the emotional support dog.
- he's not really noticed in his foster home, but really, he prefers it that way. he's not one who wants to be noticed, particularly.
- he's very ambitious. not in what he wants in his future, but in how he wants to be and how he wants to portray himself. if he wants to learn how to swim, he doesnit. if he wants to be more kind, he does it. if he wants something done, he does it. he's very particular about it.

- he was born in ohio, but moved to new york when he was two years old. leslie wasn't born in a horrible household, but it wasn't amazing, either. he was constantly fighting with his parents because they weren't happpy with his grades and what he chose to do in his free time.
- his mother walked out on him and his dad when he was eight. he had always closer to her than to his father, so he was upset, and wrote many letters and mailed them to her, none of which she replied to.
- in his freshman year of high school, he made his way onto the school football team. his father wasn't angry at this, but he wanted him to quit because he was only managing to pull c's and d's in his classes. he fought with his dad a lot, and his dad ended up making him quit the team in order to pull his grades.
- towards the end of that year, leslie's dad died in an accident where he had drank too much and he stumbled onto the street in a drunken state, being run over. he had no parents left to take care of him, so he was placed into the foster home system.
- he was reasonably upset, and he started smoking cigarettes to relieve the stress. he would do it after school, before catching the public back to wherever he was living at the time.
- he moved in and out of families throughout high school, and when he was eighteem and omitted from the system, he was given the money his father had saved up for leslie's post-secondary tuition. he used it to attend law school, while living in his dad's old van that he had also left behind for him. he managed to get two part time jobs, and he worked and attended school at the same time.
- he graduated a few years later, and he became a lawyer. he was in this career for five or so years, when he left and went back to school to be a police officer.
- he was in the police force for ten years, until he was around thirty-eight. after this, he starte working in child protection services and has been there ever since.
- in between his career paths, he met a girl named teresa and dated her for five years, until marrying her when he was twenty-six. they moved in together after they wed and had a baby girl two years later named brianna, and she was the light of leslie's life. brianna and teresa both died while he was in the police force by a serial killer who had been running rampant during the time, when brianna was nine and thirty-seven.

- he still smokes, although not as often as he did when he was in high school. he mostly smokes when he's really stressed out, even though it's really bad for him and he knows it. he stopped when brianna was five and she told him not to, but with no one around to tell him or wmotionally move him like that, he doesn't really care what he does to his body.
- he acts all tough guy but he would defend anyone close to him with his life. he has a heart of gold, even if he doesn't admit it. he also takes really stupid risks all the time, but he does it because he thinks they're the right thing to do.
- he strictly listens to 80s music
- he's a really good detective. he works with child protective services now, but the police force often calls on him to work a case with them because he also holds a private independent detective service on the side.
- he's so fatherly and he just wants to be a good dad to anyone who he can offer protection towards
- he loves iriel with his whole heart and hell if he would let anything happen to her okay??
- his heart melts whenever any kid he considers as a child of his or that kind of figure calls him "dad" by accident or on purpose
- he's really a big softie what a big teddy bear
- he's super burly and gruff and gets into lots of fights but he gives amazing hugs okay
