♔  Vesania's eyes shifted to Shepherd, watching the bastard stand there and smile. He wasn't quite sure what there was to smile about, and he looked the other man up and down quite frequently to see if he was hiding something. He squinted in his dark room, no doubt already dark enough so that Ves wouldn't have to see his parents in his sleep paralysis episodes, but also so he wouldn't have too blasting of a headache when he woke the next morning.

♔  Take care of me? Ves was given pause, looking Shepherd over for the umpteenth time. "I appreciate it, but maybe don't scare the shit outta me." He kept his scowl before he lowered himself back down onto the bed.

♔  He could hear Shepherd making kissing noises, and when Ves glanced down, he saw Twinkie leaning into the kisses, her tail curled and she was purring loudly. Ves might have been a little jealous. He'd never admit it, of course. He raised a hand and pet Twinkie's back, hand going down from her shoulders to the end of her tail. She let out a little "mrrr!" and headbutt Shepherd, her toes gripping the blanket as she kneaded. Ves continued to pet his cat before he just exhaled through his nose, where he realized his septum was taken out.

♔  He grunted lightly at the last little bit, with the nickname. He had a feeling he wouldn't be able to shake it from Shepherd's vocabulary, but at the same time... he had a feeling he didn't want to. Maybe. He wasn't so sure. Ves scratched at his face and covered his eyes with his arm again, laying there and exhaling loudly every so often. He'd lift an arm to look at him, and then look at Twinkie. She had settled between his legs, her little kitty chin on his thigh, curled up so neatly into the crook of his knee. Ves sighed, taking note of how relaxed Shepherd was.

♔  What did he think? Did he want to lay with him? The bed surly wasn't big enough for all three, and even though Twinkie was just little... well, Ves would use her as an excuse, should Shep find himself trying to lay down.
