[align=center][div style="width:500px;text-align:justify;line-height:1.2;font-size:9pt;"]Her expression began to change, from relief to fear, but Jasper shook his head, confident she didn't quite understand him yet. His hands moved to grasp hers tightly, holding them between the two as he spoke. "I took care of it, just like you wanted," His tone was a mix of pride and reassurance, pleased to deliver such a service to Rosie and her brother.

"He's dead, Rosie. I killed him."

And he had enjoyed it. Jasper had relished in his death, craved it and wanted for it for years. So when Jasper finally had him, sniveling and stumbling in the corner of the very kitchen they now stood in, his smile had shone with a violent omen. He had taken his time toying with the man, letting him bleed and shiver with pain. And when the blade was eventually buried in his skull, Jasper had exhaled with relief, a weight seemingly lifting off his back. Never again would the pig harm the girl he fought to keep safe.

It was no secret Jasper had wanted the man dead for as long as he had known him, but he had waited for the cue despite his own desire. His entire life, Jasper had never looked kindly in his direction, instead his dark eyes burned with hatred and disgust. So when the older man had looked up at Jasper in surprise, Jasper had chuckled cynically, amazed the man had not seen it coming at one point or another. Of course it was him. The boy was surrounded by devilry so thick it seemed to rise off him like steam. He should have heeded such a warning.

He had never been a good kid. He had been malice and vengeance and anger. His aura was black with eyes to match. There was a feeling deeply seated in him that he had been wronged by forces much larger than him, that he had been snubbed by the universe, and he was not meant to endure it the way he had. There was a clear path from his youth Jasper had refused to take, instead branching off in a way the fates did not prepare for, and he became something that was never meant to be created. It was no secret to those around him that Jasper had been a sort of byproduct of a horrible darkness that had shadowed his life since youth and only crawled closer.

But where there was darkness, there was a great passion and want for something not had. For him, that was Rosie, the sun kissed girl who did not look at him with pity or fear, but instead a softness and curiosity he had not been greeted by before. She understood him and did not ask him to change or flinch away from him. He felt like a person worthy of something around her, and the two had been inseparable since their relationship began. Although Jasper knew she was worthy of someone better than him, someone cleaner and kinder, now they would have to go through him. However messy and gory his way was, Jasper would do just about anything for her.

Including killing the man who raised her.
