Each of them had a bag, though Kenny was carrying mainly first aid and medical supplies so Jude carried an extra bag of things for Kenny. He had been listening to Zave's forty-minute reciting of an explanation, Spencer seemed annoyed by it but Jude wasn't allowing him to say anything. So when it was changed to asking about setting up camp, he simply nodded in response.
"Spence and Livvy know how to set up tents" he offered, glancing to the oldest of his little siblings and watch the two just slowly nod. Their dad would take them camping in the backyard to try and have that fun camping trip within the walls of the suburbia. "We're sleeping on the ground?! What if we get bit or something comes and kills us or-" "Kenny, we'll be fine." he assured, resting his hand on his brother's shoulder before looking back to Zave "Didn't our parents have lighters or matches? Did anyone take some?" he asked hopefully because he didn't know otherwise how they'd make fire.
However, Jude preferred to be taking pictures with his camera, he had brought along a book to put the pictures into too so he was excited to get it going. He would help if he was needed but he would definitely prefer to be documenting. "Can we play cards or something?" "Sure Connor, once we set things up I'll play with you, 'kay?" his littlest brother nodded "Okay, guys put your stuff down by me - Spece and Livvy go help with tents, Connor and Kenny you guys can help get sticks for a fire?"
This would work, right? It had to, they couldn't and wouldn't go back.
