You know the ones, the blue ones with big tails. ❞

One of the Flintlock children, Henry, held onto Charlotte’s hand as he furrowed his brows together. ❝ Wait, like a peacock? ❞ He enquired, Green pointing towards him before he exclaimed, ❝ That’s the one! Those… peacock chickens. ❞ Green turned back to continue trying to make some semblance of the colourful bird on the wall, Henry giving Ida a baffled side glance before he crouched down to look towards the two Flintlock toddlers, Charlotte and Tommy, before he spoke, accompanied with signing for Tommy, ❝ Wanna paint? ❞

Green looked over towards Arlo, a softer smile finding a way on his lips. Arlo was far shyer around the other kids, instead keeping himself close to Green’s side. ❝ Hey, Arlo? ❞ Green questioned, Arlo glancing up before Green pressed a hand against Arlo’s cheek, the young boy gasping before his brows knitted together, trying to look angry even though he was desperately stifling a laugh. ❝ You look like a blueberry. ❞ Green pointed out playfully, Arlo mumbling quietly, ❝ Only half a blueberry. ❞ ❝ Very good point, Arlo. Very good point. How about we paint the other side of your face then? ❞ ❝ No! ❞ Arlo eventually giggled, gently nudging Green away before crouching down to pick up a brush to paint patterns on the wall.

With an amused huff, Green slowly began to retreat to take a closer look at the children as they got on with painting. Soon, it would no longer be a dreary grey wall but one bursting with colour and art. A whimsical, thoughtful smile sat on his lips as he watched the children decorate the wall, slowly nodding his head before glancing over as he saw Finnion wander over, whining, ❝ The wall! It’s too tall! ❞ ❝ You wanna paint higher up? ❞ Green enquired, the young boy nodding his head eagerly before Green wandered over, ❝ All right then. How about... ❞ Lifting the child up with a grunt, he let Finn sit on his shoulders as the child painted the wall, talking to himself attentively. Even though Green was pretty sure he could feel Finn dropping splatters of paint on his head, he still stood patiently as he pointed out Finn's work. ❝ That’s awesome! ❞
