— the idea of a clothes giveaway hadn’t initially piqued fred’s interest. he didn’t have much to give away, and he didn’t necessarily need any more clothes. there was no reason for him to go down there. though as interest started going around flintlock about the giveaway, freddie decided it wouldn’t be the worst thing to go scope out. perhaps he’d find something that he actually liked (needless to say he didn’t need to worry about finding clothes he’d look good in; he believed looked good in everything, naturally).
stepping into the random building, he walked around and glanced at the multiple clothing items around the makeshift thrift store. of course he was the kind of person that touched just about every clothing article nearby without any sign of actually trying it on. ”daddy-” he turned his head to look towards the small trio - eddie, brendan, and charlotte. he tried not to retch at charlotte and eddie’s softness - parenthood was absolutely disgusting; where was eddie’s manhood? - and instead forced a smile to his lips as he wandered over towards the group. it paid off to be so good at masking true emotions.
“what a find,” he observed as he stepped over (he didn't know how to interact with reserved, introverted teenagers). he paused a moment before scooping little lottie up with an exaggerated grunt of effort. holding her in his arms, he tipped her back a bit as he feigned menacing grumble and said, “and look what i’ve found! i might have to keep this one, huh?” eddie knew of freddie’s dislike for kids - younger ones more than anything - but there was the occasional exception for his first-cousins-once-removed.
