then, another voice. so much for peaceful, but with a group, it's almost what lorena expects. "i think what you meant to say was hola," god, some men did undoubtedly good jobs at playing idiot. she says playing for a reason. the obliviousness, however, is genuine. quite an interesting mix. "no, lo que creo que quería decir era idiota" her voice is sweet, and she smiles in his face, knowing that he'd have no clue that she's just insulted him to his face.
and then, there's eddie. he'd appeared subtly, as if not to intrude in the conversation— at least not at first. in all honesty, it's been awhile since she'd spoken to him, as if she allowed any room for proper conversation in the first time. he, too, thinks she's nothing more than an confused girl whose clueless about the words that he speaks. as long as she's testing the waters of his little group, it'll stay that way, but eddie is undoubtedly an interesting cause. he seems like an easy case upon first meeting him, but the more time she spends around him the more she realizes that isn't true. he's not as readable, or as vulnerable as she suspected.
"good," she repeats, gesturing to herself and then to the rabbit with a nod. her eyes linger on him a few seconds too long, and just like that, she's turned away again without much bother. in fact, she's turned back to joey and then ultimately, her rabbit.
