"speech" 'thought' text
With the weather warmed up like this, Maisie actually felt comfortable to be out and about. Not that she had a ton of free time, though she did work to make time for herself. After all, her sanity was important too! Not that she dealt with other peoples minds, no, she would rather die than do that. Curing the body was one thing, but the mind... god she was terrified to think about what went on in other peoples minds.
Granted, it was all science, but still, science could be scary. And she was, about as close to a doctor as most people could get in the apocalypse. Then again, she wasn't as experienced as other people who had served in the medical field before the blackout. Regardless of anything she was thinking, or saying.
Maisie had been walking around when she noticed Freddie and Joey. They were both friends in her mind, though, she considered most people as her friend. The young woman looked from Joey to Freddie and back, having heard the tail end of their conversation. And being relatively bright, gathered that they were discussing what to do for an infant. Something which her friend Joey would be having in the near future.
The idea of being a mom wasn't extremely palatable to Maisie right now, after all she wasn't all that old. She had a lot of things she wanted to do before she even considered becoming a mother. She tilted her head to the side for a few moments. What to say? Anything? Or should she just stand here awkwardly. Well, if she didn't talk, it was strange and if she did talk, then it was going to be awkward.
So, Maisie just went with not saying anything.
