As for Tommy, it seemed as if every little idea of Eddie’s would go through Tom before Ed chose to implement them, meaning that there were days where Tom heard nothing but the damn village. It was getting quite exhausting, Tom wishing that the village could be complete sooner rather than later. And, it seemed as if his wish was coming true - what had once been the ruins of an old skiing village was turning into a bustling and quaint little hot spot for some life of normalcy.

It was pretty impressive, Tommy had to admit. It almost felt like his childhood before the shit-show of a blackout created mass panic and destruction within societies. Instead, this all felt normal. Like what life was supposed to be like.

That was weird to imagine.

Holding onto the reins of a draft horse pulling a full wagon, Tommy wandered down the village street as he urged the horse on. The horse better start getting used to it; in a month he would probably start having to transport people to and from the lodge and village frequently. But, for now, the horse would simply work at transporting raw materials for renovations across the town. Gaze landed on a man stood with a cup of coffee - hey, wasn’t this the new guy? Woah now, steady on, yeh- ❞ Tommy grumbled as he slowed the horse to a halt nearby, instead wagging his finger towards Richard. ❝ You got the right idea, ‘ey? A nice warm cuppa on a day like this. ❞ He rambled, nodding his head up towards the gloomy sky.

❝ Y’know, there was a time not so long ago where that cafe ain’t even had a working door to get in and out. Totally barricaded by a plank of wood. Now, I can get myself a warm drink anywhere on this mountain. I wonder if this was what capitalism felt like... Huh. ❞
He shifted his weight, shoulders dropping as he looked around. Did Tommy even know what he was saying half of the time? It was debatable. With a frowning face, Tom gestured towards Richard before he asked bluntly, ❝ What’s your name again? Richard something or other, yeah? ❞ He paused for a second before introducing himself, ❝ I’m Tommy. Eddie’s brother. People say they can see the resemblance but - eh - I ain’t too sure, honestly. ❞
