Light on her toes, Mollie knew that stealth would be her best friend. Slink around the forestry undetected and then shoot him before he was to even know that she was there. She knew how to fire a gun - it was one of the benefits of living out in the middle of nowhere for a lot of her childhood. But, honestly, Mollie far preferred the furtiveness of throwing knives. Now that was what she was most comfortable with. That or close ranged attacks. She’d grown up with boxing as a hobby; she really had never been the type of child to want to play with dolls or paint pictures. She enjoyed the competitive nature of sport.

Mollie loved nothing more than to win.

Sliding to a stop, Mollie hid behind a tree to catch her breath, tipping her head back as she panted gently into the mask affixed to her face. He wouldn’t be able to find her hidden here, would he? She held the gun close to her, her breathing settling down slowly, until her body flinched at a sudden bang of a gun firing. Yellow paint splattered against the tree next to her, Mollie wasting no time before darting off again. ❝ Motherfucker- ❞ She gasped as she ran, quiet for a second before beginning to laugh to herself. Freddie Stirling was a damn good shot - she thought that the only thing he was good at was flashing that charming smile at her.

She hid behind another tree but this time aiming her paintball gun out where she anticipated Freddie to soon be. Mollie scanned the trees before - bang - what the hell? How did Fred find her so quickly? Mollie began to fire back, wanting to scoff at just how seriously Freddie was taking the game. It was nice; whatever they were, Mollie was just glad that she could have fun with Freddie doing things that they both enjoyed. Messing around at paintball, for instance, perhaps wasn’t a typical pastime to do with one’s friend with benefits but nowadays the emphasis seemed to be on friend.

Mollie loved spending time in Freddie’s company. Sure, he was an arrogant idiot half of the time - and Mollie wasn’t afraid to tell him so - but he was her arrogant idiot. Someone that Mollie could lean on, have fun with, enjoy the company of. Dare she even say that maybe she was beginning to trust him. Never had she lowered her guard down around anyone before (besides Emery but she was her sister - of course Em knew of Mollie’s vulnerabilities) but, the more she spent time around Freddie, the more it scared her the fact that she’d entertain the thought every once in a while. Eyes would linger on him for just a second too long. Maybe he was somebody who could get close to her heart.

The thought that she may actually have feelings for Freddie Stirling terrified her.

A paintball hit her shoulder, Mollie gasping as she leapt back before snarling, ❝ Oh, it’s on, Stirling! ❞ She dashed behind another tree, slowly nearing where Freddie stood. The closer she could get to him, the better. After all, she had a plan, one which may just lead to her inevitable downfall.
