"Dad!" Rowan cried. She tried to step towards him, but Wolf held her back. They both knew it was futile to try to talk sense into the man when he was like this. However, Rowan refused to allow Tadeas to take the punishment for her mistake. This was her fault, not his.
"Dad, please, it's nothing like that," Rowan said quickly. She gulped and glanced at Tadeas, meeting his gaze, before looking back at Robin Hood. She knew her next words were going to get her killed, but she no longer cared. "I asked Tadeas to take me into the village because I was curious. He was only doing what I asked him to do!" It was not a total lie, but it was not the total truth either. Wolf glanced between his little sister and his father. Rowan was in for it now.
