— as a kid, fred used to admire the snow. there was something fun about running around, mouth open and hoping to catch a few snowflakes. it was easily one of the more innocent memories for the blonde as a kid. however, he faced the same problem as evelyn. couldn’t eddie and the rest of his close family have chosen to live on some discreet, private tropical island when the stirling family scattered? fred liked to think that was better than the top of a snowy mountain.
still, it brought him more amusement to sit by the window and occasionally glance out, watching evelyn try to shovel snow. he got just the perfect view of her throwing the snow shovel down, defeated. his lips twitched as he fought an amused smile, getting up from his seat to wander outside. he grabbed his coat as he went. “knowing your luck, we’ll end up getting a snowstorm tonight,” he stated, throwing on his coat with a grin. her efforts had barely made a dent in all the snow around the lodge-- she was already relatively unlucky.
he scooped up the shovel, holding it like a goddamn baseball bat and swinging it at the air. just practice for the baseball game they’d probably play during their camping trip. he held a hand up over his eyes as if watching the baseball soar out into the distance. then turned his gaze back over towards evelyn, as if expecting some sort of applause. he gestured to the shovel. “you could really knock someone out with this, if you wanted to.” of course he wanted to. the stirlings at this point were getting a lot more peace and relaxation, and just about hardly any action. didn't mean violence wouldn't still be on fred's mind, only voicing it out there to the rest of the stirling family.
