— it hadn’t been that long since mick had first left flintlock. however, it had felt like it truly had been months ago that he’d gone. going downhill had been an easier trip than coming uphill - but it was better to be making this trip in someone’s else’s company than on his own. it had been a lonely trek down and to northstar. he was grateful he got to go- mainly because he knew he wouldn’t have wanted green to make this journey by himself.
“think you’re going to make it?” a lighthearted poke at the man. he had been doing fairly well for someone who had never climbed up the mountain before. a lot more graceful than mick was, that was for sure. once they were in flintlock territory, he slowed to a stop beside green, hands in his pockets to try and keep them warm. he glanced around at the familiar surroundings and waited patiently beside green.
