His interest piqued slightly, eyes staring at his wife carefully as she spoke. Her sheer strength was surprising to Zero, she'd always seemed to fit the role given her. A meet and greet seemed very social, very bonding. Zero did his best to know everyone here in Asphodel, but he was unfortunately busy, unable to really know everyone. So, he did his best, forever thinking about how his father seemed to know everything about everyone in Asphodel in his his lifetime. Perhaps this was for the best.

His goal right now was to get through this, without succumbing to existentialism. "A goal of mine is to make sure we all get through the summer." That was simple enough, right? Perfectly reasonable, and something Zero felt passionate about.
