Strange how mid twenties had become a warning, as effective as the bright yellow and red of something venomous. Physically in their prime, usually armed to the teeth and often emotionally resolute enough to follow through on their threats  terrible enemies, but useful allies if they could be relied on to stay loyal. In Los Santos, clever minds and sharp claws were imperative, though that was a standard statement most anywhere around these parts: Flintlock had their bears, the Badlands had themselves and Bluestem was far from a safe haven either. When rest wasn't an option, you learned quickly to become dangerous.
Selena reminded him of a big cat, almost. Sleek, confident, not to be trifled with. There was a cockiness that could've been arrogance but also could've been well deserved, and Abd al-Malik wasn't keen on calling her bluff or pushing her to find out which one it was (Wolfsbane seemed about as eager to test the theory as he did).
