There it was, the feeling that this was a horrible idea. As soon as people started approaching, Louie had to resist the urge to turn tail. Mourningstar wasn't home, not anymore, but it almost seemed better. Almost.
"You look lost, are you aware you're in the Badlands?" At least he was in the right place, that was sort of a relief, though the figures before him were still intimidating. How pathetic. He could practically hear his father scoffing at him. In some ways it was perfectly rational, he thought, to be uneasy with strangers in a place that was notoriously dangerous. But Mourningstar was dangerous too - just look at the person he had come to see. Mourningstar had made them that way, that was one thing Louie knew perhaps better than anyone else would. He had known them when they were just a kid, when they were just Scott.
Oh, shit, right. "Yeah, well no. I didn't know exactly where I was but... this is where I wanted to be." The older man had stuck out his bandaged hand and introduced himself as Salem. "Louie." He replied, shaking his hand. It was weird, physically, but it took him a moment to pinpoint that it had to do with missing fingers. There was a girl, too, with a cross bow and a dog. She wanted to know why he was here. Right. "I'm looking for Catalyst - er, Scott? I don't know what they're called here..." He supposed it was probably Catalyst, but the name left a bad taste in his mouth. Another man walked over, staying silent as he watched.
