and it was mentally taxing on her just thinking about it, but she wouldn’t let that show, would she? and she wasn’t about to go and talk about it with the first person she saw. she knew nobody in this place, the only person she could really find herself talking to being- dammit, she can’t rely on him anymore. she had to stop being so disgustingly dependent.
she couldn’t worry about that now, though. the woman, sat on a large blanket, pulled her knees closer to her chest, eyes focused fully on the book in her hand. beside her laid her new companion, erebus, pressed up against her hip with his head on her foot. frankie’s eyebrows furrowed as her eyes scanned the words on the pages, shifting in her seat every so often. she brought one hand up to her mouth to lightly nibble at her thumb nail, a bad habit she had picked up on over the years. speaking of bad habits, she had forgotten her cigarettes before coming down to the beach and she was starting to crave a smoke. she only hoped that whoever came across her would spare her a cancer stick.
