— war was a common occurrence throughout addy’s life. i mean, when you’re in a gang that’s surrounded by rivaling gangs, you’re bound to go at war with them at least a few times. that being said, he figured for some reason that the badlands would be different. he thought everything in this place would run smoothly. not exactly all sunshine and roses, by any means, but that there’d be most competition they could get rid of without a hit. he listened absently to the meeting, head tilted to the side ever so slightly .

the sound of a loud bang was definitely enough to get his attention. fucking hell. of course something bad was going to happen, and of course those fucking insurrectionists were going to try and blow up the casino. he made room for cat to walk past, though was quick to follow behind them to try and see what all the commotion was about. teenagers. arguing, only to make a run for it once they saw catalyst watching them. he hadn’t known what to expect, but catalyst running after them -- he shouldn’t have been surprised, really.

but still kind of pissed off. this idiot had a group to lead, and they were running off after these teens? what if they had wanted catalyst to follow, and it was some kind of bullshit trap they’d set up? after all, wouldn’t the whole point of blowing up the casino be so that everyone was drawn out of it in plain sight? there were too many possibilities that going out only spelled ‘bad fucking decision’ for him. addy didn’t want to run the possibility of walking into this trap, himself, but he also didn’t want the fuckin’ leader to walk into one, as well.

as he watched others chase after catalyst, though, something told him that they’d be well off. there were people that could handle their own. so it was only reasonable for him to stick back, make sure that people weren’t losing their shit over something like this and making dumb decisions. there were just way too many ways this situation could go to absolute shit for them. merely, he’d stay just barely poking out of the door, gun in hand, anticipating for the worst.

and sure enough, it got worse.

a fucking sniper? what the fuck kind of shit was this? realistically, how did someone get all the way to the top of one of their buildings without anyone being even remotely aware? he listened to the gunshots ring out, looking out over the buildings before he simply settled on getting the hell out of plain sight. he moved back inside, closing the door. “fucking hell,” he muttered under his breath as he stepped away from the door. looked like everyone in here was alright, at least. just had to wait for things to deescalate before pulling anything.

//literally nothing happens in the post but
y'know
