— firefighter ( fire & rescue ) ; previously worked in san fran , but transferred to a station in los angeles .

— he transferred because his big sister had moved to los angeles and , after years of very little communication with her , he took the opportunity of her closeness and moved to la . he was also having some troubles with some guys at the firehouse in san fran , so it was a win win for everyone .

— big dumbass energy , but also big heart energy .
— one of those dudes that nobody knows / realizes is actually hella smart because he's such a reckless little SHIT that's kinda dumb in Some ways so everyone just assumes he's a stereotypical dumb blond jock . he Knows it , too , but he's been treated as dumb so long and by literally Everyone in his life that he wholeheartedly believes it himself , now .

— his parents were and are disgusting asswipes scraped up from the bottom of a pit in hell , and he hardly had a childhood . if it weren't for his big sister , who he feels he owes Forever because of what she did for him , he wouldn't have had one at all . so he kinda acts like every kids' big brother or young dad , in a way , and is especially protective of lgbt kids and kids with shitty parent(s) .

— used to be insecure of the birthmark just above his left eye that looks like someone punched him in the face , but if anyone even tries making fun of him for it , he takes it with grace and jokes with them , even if it was meant to hurt him / make him feel bad / insecure .
— will never not call the newest member to the station " newbie . " also lowkey highkey has a crush on newbie . at first , he hated him , because he was jealous of all the attention he was getting and how awesome he is , but the moment he saw newbie with his kid , he melted . still kinda jealous , but less so , and they've become closer over the time newbie's been at the station , and they often spend time together off work with newbie's son .

— newbie's son has cerebral palsy , and buck would argue that he is the most amazing kid ever . he loves this kid like he's his own .

— chaotic good ; cares more about others than himself , and will do everything in his power to make sure he saves every life he can , even if that means going against orders sometimes ( only if he knows for sure that it won't put anyone else's life in jeopardy ; he's impulsive but not that impulsive ) .
