As Sheogorath watched the frothing waves, his gaze wavered with one last ounce of sadness, and then shifted with newfound light as the man embraced his past, embraced the world he had crafted for himself, his former fantasy brought into his presence once more. Steadily, laughter began to bubble past his lips, dripping into the open air, as reality left his mind. No more would the cruelties of the world effect him. No more would the harshness of the Badlands torment his soul. Somewhere, deep down, there was a final breath of what he had hoped would be redemption, before it faded forever. He didn't stop laughing.
