damned if he does damned if he doesn't
born in relative obscurity on the planet ryloth, to a former ambassador that had made friends with the twi'lek neighbors and had decided to stick around. ananke was their first child - and unfortunately their last.
ananke's birth was plagued with complications, complications that ended with his mother dying shortly after delivery. his father never got over the injustice of losing his wife, and thus began a rocky, unsure relationship between the two.
ananke was named after the goddess of inevitability, perhaps in an attempt to deal with his troubling birth as his father never named him - his uncle did. fate brought him her, and necessity kept him alive.
ananke showed traits of force sensitivity when he was a young boy, but his father discouraged these attempts (especially around the force-sensitive twi'leks), leaving ananke unsure of what he was even doing.
his training as a jedi was... rough. his emotional attachment to the world made him difficult to train, and some speculated that perhaps he was more gray than jedi.
more later but he is doing his best
