[size=8pt]- ̗̀ [i]they say times are hard for dreamers and who knows, maybe they are ̖́ -
 age: teen to young adult
 sexuality: bisexual
 hometown: albuquerque, new mexico
parents: david and lucas drayton (adoptive)
daisy spent the first 3 months of her life in foster care before the drayton's closed adoption was approved. david and lucas were co-owners of a dance studio and absolutely to blame for daisy's idolization of spontaneous dance numbers and extravagant displays of romance. she's been taking classes at the studio since she was 3, teaching since she was 9
she entered high school in braces with more rubber bands than an office supplies store, side swept bangs than should've been contained to 2006 myspace, and an unhealthy obsession with aaron tveit. but by the time she graduated, the girl was a part-time model (middle school bullies say what?)
had a high school experience that actually deserves the title "the golden years." she was a base for the cheer team and became deputy captain by her senior year. she was a senior member of the drama club and yearbook committee. her senior superlative was "most friendly"
lucas was diagnosed with brain cancer when daisy was 15. after a 4 year battle, he passed away. daisy took a semester off from college to support her dad and help keep the studio on its feet
 physically incapable of cursing
 secret talent: throwing surprise parties
did you mention musicals? because this girl's got em on the brain
loves to play matchmaker with her friends (to little success so far, but that's yet to stop her)
was tricked into reading "my immortal" in high school and she had to wash her eyes with holy water afterwards
her favorite class to teach is a "dancin' through the decades" summer program. tiny children jiving to footloose - who could resist?
sewed herself faux leather pants for a grease-themed couples costume for halloween and hasn't worn them since, but they're sitting in her closet in case her goth phase makes a reappearance
will still rock out to mcr with the fervor of her middle school self
talented dancer, her preference is for ballet but she's been trained in a variety of styles
has disney original movie marathons. frequently
would forgive anything if the apology came in the form of standing outside her house with a boombox
dream roles: wendla bergmann in spring awakening, wednesday addams in the addams family, natasha rostova in great comet, christine daae in phantom
cries at the drop of a hat (she plays it off as impeccable acting talent but really she's just a major sympathy crier. and emo. obvi)
song she'd sing as a pick-me-up: "my favorite things" from sound of music
oh so gullible. sweet daisy girl, she'd absolutely follow a man into an alley if his wounded puppy needed help
and it doesn't help that she's easily frightened. she saw a performance of wicked when she was young and had nightmares for a month,, wicked
major boogara. too much of a believer to endorse hollering at ghosts or demons or mothmen
vegetarian. while she doesn't like peta all too much, "bring home the bagels" has become one of her favorite phrases
while she loves drama on the stage, she isn't a fan of it encroaching into her personal life. she values open communication, compassion, and forgiveness, and despises people who are disingenuous
"easy to talk to" would be a well-chosen descriptor. talking with daisy is like talking to your grandma (the one that baked you cookies when you were little and showed up for all your elementary school plays) - warm and comforting and familiar
she was a sensitive, self-conscious child, and though she's become quite the social butterfly, she's retained a discomfort with taking criticism. she'll often either run to a bathroom stall to cry or overwork herself in desperate determination to rid herself of the perceived flaw. or both. probably both
so sweet she'll give you cavities
if she were an avenger, she'd be captain america
she could make a glass half full argument from an empty water bottle
