Moonshadow was always a light sleeper. It was something he must've inherited, or even developed himself, he wasn't sure. All he knew was, it was helpful even if the slightest of disturbances woke him. When his sister first entered the room, his eyes fluttered open only slightly to watch her make her way to bed and fall asleep. With some mild focus, he'd tuned his ears to the outside, listening for any sort of threat. There was none, so his eyes shut and he faded back to sleep.
When his sister began stirring in her sleep, he woke again and lifted his head then. He made a quick scan of the room, but found it was just Twi's rustling that woke him, nothing more. He tried to settle back to sleep, but found there was an air of discomfort that wouldn't let him peacefully rest anymore. With a huff, he flipped onto his side and glared at the wall, attempting to scare the aura away so he could sleep.
It didn't work, and quickly he realized why when his sister began yelling out. His heart jumped to his throat and he was on his paws in seconds, ears twitching as he looked for any danger. Nothing external threatened them, so he turned his focus to his sister and the discomfort turned to fear. He quickly pulled himself onto the bed, pressing his nose into her cheek.
"Twilight, I am here. What is the matter?" he asked, quiet and soft.
