He wasn't quite sure how one could hear symbols, but Sigmund could have sworn that he did. Whoever this joiner was, he was... odd. And most people were odd, don't get him wrong, but Gaster seemed exceptionally so. Dull green eyes narrowed slightly with suspicion. He seemed genuine enough, maybe just a bit... crazy?
Sigmund was, in fact, a science enthusiast. He had always been interested in psychology, picking apart why people did things or did not do things. In fact he was doing it right now- watching Gaster's form as he spoke, almost frantic. He blinked slowly, focusing on the strangeness of his pelt and the way he asked questions rapid-fire. His best guess was that he either lived a life of such solitude he had forgotten what it was like to be interacted with, or he was high on something. Probably the latter, but he supposed he couldn't just make assumptions like that.
"Of course we can see and hear you," Sigmund answered. His voice was a low drone in the quiet afternoon. He seemed almost dismissive of the older man, but he seemed almost dismissive of everyone. Perhaps it was just especially so with Gaster. "It is... nice to meet you, Doctor Gaster. I am Sigmund Mortem. If you have any other... questions... let me know." His tail flicked as he went silent again. There wasn't much else that needed to be said, he felt. Hopefully his brevity would be appreciated.
