It was the next day, abot early in the morning. Jesse had been up and about already, looking around and scouting the base to make sure everything was okay. He soon stopped in the main common room. He glanced over, seeing Lena laying in the couch. She had the tv on, but she looked to be passed out. Jesse sighed, moving over and sitting beside her.

He then looked over at the tv, turning it off before setting the remote down. He then rested a hand on her shoulder. Lena flinched a bit at the sudden touch, a faint whimper escaping her. Jesse frowned, looking down at her. “Lena?” Jesse asked softly.

After a minute, Lena opened her eyes. She blinked, looking around. She seemed a bit confused as to where she was for a minute. She then frowned, looking up at Jesse. “...Jesse? What’s wrong? Why do you have that look on your face?” She askwd.

“...Because last night you cameback yo the base after going to King’s Row. And you seemed...Really out of it.” Jesse said. Lena frowned, glancing at him a bit confused.

“No? I didn’t go anywhere yesterday. I’ve been at the base the whole time.” Lena said.
