Okay but another thing I need to remember about ryland is that he has a nervous tic of sticking his hands in his pockets
If he has his hands / a hand in his pockets and especially if he's slouching slightly, he's probably nervous for some reason
That's only his pants pockets though. Its awkward to use pants pockets really, but jacket pockets are easily accessible to just do something like warm your hands, but if he's purposefully going for the weirder pants option? Yeah he's probably feeling weird about the situation
