KEY FEATURES hypocritical, intelligent, and analytical.
━ Piper is often viewed to be the epitome of pessimism. Yet, he denies his pessimistic nature and insists that he simply views situations in the perspective of what he considers to be realistic. As a matter of fact, he looks down upon those who are optimistic, saying that they "blind themselves with false beliefs". He especially looks down upon those who are optimistic in certain situations, such as those where there is little to no chance of a positive outcome. Some of Pip's most prominent traits are intelligence, curiosity, and a strange aura of wisdom. One could say that he loves flaunting his intelligence for he seems to jump on any opportunity. However, he sees himself as simply correcting other's mistakes or pointing things out that others may not know. This, coupled with his realistic views, results in him pointing out others flaws, whether it be about themselves or the ideas they come up with. It can be derived from these action that Piper could be arrogant, believing himself to be so much better than everyone else that he must point out the flaws of those "beneath him". However, he does not see himself as arrogant. As a matter of fact, he claims that he only views himself realistically. He analyzes his own flaws and strengths to determine how he would fair in various situations and how he compares to others when their capabilities are considered.

It is from there that one could come to the assumption that Piper does a lot of people watching or stalking. Truthfully, he actually does - he spends most hours of the day carefully observing others. Piper likes to do these things as he is fascinated by other living creatures, both from their biology and behaviors - though, he finds the latter more interesting. He is also intrigued by what others conceal and makes it his obligation to discover the secrets of others. Though, it wouldn't be for gossip or bragging rights but instead for the simple sake of curiosity. Piper could very well be the definition of how one must carefully choose who they share their personal feelings and thoughts with. It is from here that we can discuss the fact that Piper can be rather sadistic. He actually frowns upon those who reflect their pain in body language and expressions. He feels that, by doing so, they are revealing the fact that they are weak.  At times, Piper can even be aloof and oblivious to other people when it comes to intense emotions. One could be in tears next to him and he would pay no mind; one could be showing clear signs they are upset with him and he would just ignore them all the while. As a matter of fact, the more someone shows negative feelings towards him, the more he avoids them. He believes these actions to be only fair in result of theirs. Another thing to note about him is how unnaturally calm he is around violence. Not only this, but he is able to remain poised under pressure and in moments of desperation and despair, which could mean that he is somewhat optimistic.

Piper is ruled by logical and cynical thinking. He takes what he has learned in the past, which has become simple feelings in his gut and blurs of color, and what he has seen in people to determine the reason for the actions those take around him and even towards him. He pushes the boundaries of what is appropriate to inquire in a conversation and finds ways to ask just the right kind of questions to get information out of people. Piper has an insatiable thirst for knowledge that will never be satisfied. This thirst is often what pulls him along through life, reaching and grasping for anything that he believes can prove to him to be useful on a quest even unknown to himself. This quest, this drive, is deeply rooted in his core. It was first created by him so long ago as a means of distraction. With the troubles of memory loss, he spins around in circles on a desperate search for the answer of his origins and his purpose for existence. When not occupied by his search in one form or another, he can end up drawing himself away from others. His confused and perturbed thoughts on what and who he really is envelop and drawn him in their depths. They plague his mind relentlessly, tormenting him with the fact that he can never seem to recall anything that he feels that he needs to. Piper has a great need to be alone all the time, but he cannot due to the questions that consume him. Thus, he bides his time being in unwanted company, going as far as to be around those he hates to complete strangers.

It is in his search for knowledge and fascination with Earthly creatures that he is willing to do some unorthodox behaviors as forms of "experiments". He becomes one to appear to have boundaries, invading others personal space at the possible cost of his own health and safety. Piper can and will lean far to close to strangers and fun his paws through others fur to test them or even get some form of sensation of their bodies. This can be quite unsettling for others, especially when his lack of nerves is taken into consideration. Even though he has no nervous systems, he still has some form of "sensation". However, slight or soft touching/rubbing of any kind cannot be felt on his part. Thus, he can be a bit on the rough side in his attempts to feel. He is actually fascinated by feeling itself, and some would dare say he is addicted to it from the level in which he pries at others. As a matter of fact, he is actually obsessed with the feeling of fur, hair, and feathers. However, much to the surprise of many, he will react offensively should one try to touch him. He hates to be the one on the receiving end of physical contact. This, obviously, is quite ironic considering his way of "no boundaries" towards others.

In other matters, Piper is unable to relate to the feeling of hunger, thirst, and sleep. Despite the previous fact, he obtains an obsession for certain sweet foods. He thrives on the energy he produces and given the fact that it is (indeed) energy, he doesn't need sleep. However, in his attempts to sleep he claims that it is a most unpleasant feeling. Because of the energy he produces, he also hates sitting still, believing that he his wasting the energy he is creating. He actually will become fidgety or even begin to twitch if he sits still for too long.

Despite everything, Piper does have a soft side. As a matter of fact, in a few aspects, he looks at the world through a child's eyes, which is quite surprising. He is easily fascinated by beauty in nature, airborne creatures (specifically birds), snow, anatomy, water, and especially oddities in nature, among other things. One of his favorite hobbies is collecting, his favorite item to hoard being feathers. His favorite things to study are eyes, stars and constellations. Pip is captivated by the eyes of any living creature, claiming that they are "windows to the soul," as cliche as that might sound. It is due to this that he actually has a distaste for those with dull eyes, those who seem to lack emotion in them, and even those who are crazy. He dislikes emotions in eyes being stagnant, claiming that that's "not what they're there for". He also obtains a love for books and can become exceptionally overjoyed within libraries and quite enjoys the smell of old books. In his perspective, they provide him with images of worlds he will never come to meet. One might question his liking towards books since he has trouble sitting still. However, he resolves this by standing and walking around when reading. He is also rather obsessed with order, even with the finest of details. If he stumbles upon a messy room, or one not arranged to his liking, he will clean and organize it immediately. Even if the room is occupied by someone else - or simply is within a house that is not his - he will still "assign their belongings to their proper place," often without permission to do so.

MENTAL ILLNESS(ES) Piper appears to suffer from some form of amnesia in which most all memories are only able to be kept temporarily.
MEMORY Piper is one who can keep memories for a certain period of time and, within that timespan, recall them with surprising clue clarity. However, if a memory or piece of knowledge is not used for a certain period of time, then it will be permanently forgotten.

PHOBIAS Piper would appear to have pyrophobia (fear of fire) and astrophobia (fear of storms).
MANIAS Piper's continuous search for more knowledge could be considered a mania.

HABITS/QUIRKS Among his quirks is his inability to sit still, his tendency to organize/clean up others' rooms, his lack of boundaries towards others but dislike of others touching him, and the fact that he doesn't realize when he is staring far too much.
MANNERISMS & DEMEANOR When it cones to Piper's posture, it changes from moment to moment. Sometimes he is slouched and, in other times, he idles with his back straight. Posture doesn't necessarily matter to him as he - not being a creature made of flesh of bone - does not have to worry about damage to the "bones" of his body as a result of it. When Piper moves about, sometimes he carries the stride normal for the form he currently possesses; at other points in time, his legs will merge together and he will seemingly slide or snake around with an almost hallucinogenic grace. Nevertheless, Piper seems to be in a constant state of movement; even if he appears to be sitting still, the surface of his body ripples and shifts. The longer he remains in one place, the more his surface seems to move. It will progress to shuddering and twitching to accompany the constant sifting. As that occurs, the rippling of his form with grow more and more prominent. Eventually, it will reach the point of more mutations and extremeties forming and dissipating with increasing speed and size.

As far as Piper's expressions go, he usually appears to have a blank slate or neutral expression. He does not usually do this to appear cold and robotic (which is how others may perceive him). Instead, he actually often forgets to express himself, as hard as that is to believe. His mind tends to be so focused on the activity he's engaging in or on taking in information that he doesn't emote, even to express interest or fascination. This also often has the adverse effect of others thinking that he is bored and, thus, ending the conversation. That, in turn, leaves Piper confused as to why they cut their talk short.

The most Piper usually does when it comes to expressing himself is through the size and/or amount of eyes that he shows. His white ooze is the most vulnerable part of his body; thus, unless it is to help the ooze escape his excess heat, the increased revealing of the white ooze is a sign of trust.

x「  ✦HOBBIES & SKILLS  」 His only hobbies at the moment would appear to be his search for knowledge, people watching, and reading books.
