reagan middle destiny
• reagan destiny, also known as rae (ray), was born to jaquelyn (jackie) ethan destiny just nineteen years before. due to her bother's countless of failed attempts at pregnancy, reagan was supposed to be their perfect little girl, though it wasn't that easy. after one false scare in thinking they lost her, when they finally gave birth to her they almost had that scare again when reagan didn't cry, but it wasn't because she wasn't breathing, but because she was mute.
• doctors couldn't ever figure out what was wrong with her, and with this condition, it only caused jackie to pull her much closer than she'd already intended. her issue wasn't just on her daughter getting hurt, but much rather than she wouldn't be able to obtain a normal life. as reagan grew, there were words that she wanted speak that she just couldn't, her very incisive nature making her almost as intelligent as most of the kids at her school and she actually liked to learn. her biggest issue, however, wasn't in reading, not even in math but much rather with making friends at school as they'd imagine. it's not that they found reagan weird, but had trouble connecting to her due to her inability to speak, especially at such a young age where kids were full of energy and words were the only way they could express themselves. reagan could only write these words on paper and by first grade, was reading writing at sixth grade level as it's all she did.
• her father, on the other hand, wanted her to embrace a side that he's known about since the day that she was born and for this reason, it caused he and his mother to separate rather than bring her together. long ago, during the time of the salem witch trials, reagan held the bloodline of a family of witches who avoided it, but couldn't avoid that despise of other witch tribes. the closed case was when reagan's very great grandmother ratted one of these witches out to save her own ass due to her pregnancy in which, in return, the witch tribe returned her favor by making her countless next generation who were female unable to speak their mind, unable to speak at all. reagan's father knew of this as his great great grandmother had been a witch and he grew up in this household. he knew there wasn't any better way for reagan to express herself than through her witchcraft and even offered to take her to a coven. her mother was upset by this, going as far as to kick him out to silence him from his crazy ideas as she wants her daughter to have the most normal life possible, not have another worry on her hands.
• as you'd imagine, she expressed herself through writing and when it came to reading, most her interest depended on the stars and astrology and anything to do with engineering itself. in fact, she was quite good at it, her innovative nature making it easy for her to take things apart and put it back together without trouble just by reading off a page. at eleven, she went as far as to even wanting a wrench box full of tools and telescope on her eleventh and with her mother's struggle, went as far as to collect her own money from a lemonade stand to collect the money in which she needed.
• her room, in fact, is simple but looks a little something like this and even has the star light dreamlight things that light up the entire room with their own stars but i bet you could imagine she prefers the real.
• you'd expect for her to be able to make her own decisions between the beef with her mother and father and she has; she, too, wants to shape a life for herself. she didn't want to go for a coven, and hasn't completely come to the terms with the fact of being a witch despite her gifts giving her the ability to be as smart as she is. naturally, she's good at technopathy, being able to communicate with robots and the internet in general and she remembers and can do anything that she reads on paper or sees on tv. she hasn't come to terms with it, instead naming it as something she is just naturally good at
• has started an internship with NASA, something she is very excited about due to the fact that it's been her dream. there's someone who happens to have a daughter who is deaf and communicates through sign language that is very patient and willing to take her on. also very curious about her condition
• has a dog that she found one day while she was walking home at the age of 11. so she comes to realize that it's her spirit animal, or the animal in which disguises itself as her protector. his name is togo
