BATIATAS swore aid in the search for spartacus's wife, if he did as commanded as a GLADIATOR and WON his fights. for many moons did he train under the HOUSE OF BATIATAS and prevailed in fight after fight, always SLAUGHTERING his opponents in the ring; the memory of SURA leading him to become the CHAMPION OF CAPUA, the city the games were placed in. at last had BATIATAS found news of sura, arranging for her to meet spartacus back in the ludus. though, batiatas knew that if sura was returned to his arms, that spartacus would no longer fight in the ring; thus sending one of his men to KILL sura on her way to the ludus where spartacus awaited her return. not until a HALF MOON later did spartacus find out that it was batiatas who sent someone to kill SURA. completely infuriated, he PLANNED his REVENGE against batiatas. seeing as batiatas was always surrounded by GUARDS, he had to plan his revenge with precision. spartacus had also managed to gain the help of the other GLADIATORS in the ludus, aiding him in the ASSASSINATION of batiatas. upon the death of batiatas, spartacus FLED. no longer being a slave under the ROMAN EMPIRE. no longer being the joyous man that once had the pleasure of his fiancé wrapped in his arms, spartacus became HARDENED by the mass of LIVES he took in his moons of being a GLADIATOR. and although he still has his HUMOROUS moments, he tends to be BLUNT YET PROVEN A GOOD FRIEND if he places trust in you. though it is easier said than done, his TRUST being extremely difficult to obtain.
