The radiation has had a grievous effect on mother nature's spawn, twisting them and mutating them until they are no longer recognizable. The evidence lies especially in The Solis Imperium's territory, the site of a government facility that died out once disaster hit. At first glance, it seems perfectly innocent - while being very bright and most of the plants are gleaming unnaturally, the colors are pretty and the grass is a bright, attractive green that when hit by the sunshine looks likes paradise on earth, the only thing still good in this world. Upon entering, however, the air seems thick, polluted, and your lungs tighten up and burn within your body as fire shreds your lungs and your vision goes red. The air is poisoned. While the trees are there, upright and positively perky, the sight of new plants - particularly, an unnaturally large venus fly trap that crouches in the undergrowth, awaiting to swoop you up in its jaws like a snake - is what draws the conclusion that while trees make the air breathable, the venus is what blows the poisonous gas in. The prey here has had time to adapt, but newcomers have not, and thus will be hit by the effects and suffer it gravely.
From up high, one can scope the territory and identify the key features. All in all, while not being an island, the territory is bordered on it's most vulnerable side by steep mountains and surrounded by crystal blue ocean waters. On the outermost edges nearer to the ocean are beaches that are - in certain parts - broken up by rocks erected upwards or creating a cliff to look over the sea from. Palm trees spring up here and there as well, and it's all a very pretty sight, but the inner most parts of the territory abruptly turn into forest, which is where most of the poison lies.
Melting into the mountains is an extremely large, old tree, the worst and the best of what the island has to offer. Why it's that way is because of the years scientists have sat on it, trying to reach it's maximum height, and it has clearly not failed them in that aspect. The inside is cavernous, the cavities allowing the animals to go in and out as they please, but still not enough to fit a whole group of animals, which is why Quietus has used his earth elemental to dig tunnels into the mountains leading upwards so that the members can scatter on the mountain tops. The branches hang off the mountain and give the members the ability to scout for anyone that might seek to hold audience with them.
Another key tidbit of information about the territory is, in case of emergency, The Solis Imperium will draw back until they hit the beaches, where their enemies are unable to get them and will be held back by the poison. They will also go to the beaches during the winter months, where the poison is less effective and the fog is the most dangerous obstacle on the island. On the beaches is a rock half-submerged in water but shallow enough to wade through in order to approach the cavern, the entrance blocked by a albacore sliding set of doors with a yellow strip marking where you'd pull the two doors apart in order to get inside. Rope is fastened to the handles for the animals to pull.
The Inside is all white. White walls, white floor, white roof over their heads - a long hall that winds into a room full of chairs and other furnishings, dead plants reduced to crumbles in soiled pots. Modest paintings hang the walls, but they only make the white harsher, and as one explores the building they realize the full extent to what happened here. Overgrown plants grow like mold on steel silver tables, cutting tools rusted with green fluids discarded among the rooms. Dead freezers hold even more plants, and in the resting areas too-skinny scientists are spilled over the beads, their death a mix of their own greed and starvation at the hands of the radiation. Plants keep most of the place lit up.
The seasons have a tremendous effect on the plant life in the territory.
☼ Summer is where the group is the toughest to attack. The plants are at their full strength, and are the most vibrant in color, and the air is hot and dry so the beaches and the mountains are the most popular places to go when it gets to be too much.
☼ Autumn is where the defenses of the group lessen their grip. It grows colder, the plants lose their color as a result of them dying, even if the toxins remain, just slightly less as horrible as they are in the summer. Light frosts on occasion.
☼ Winter is when the group retreats to the science facility. A heavy frost replaces the corpses of the dead plants and a radiation fog starts to settle in, moving from place to place and making the innermost territory uninhabitable. The toxins from the air are gone, but this threat is incurable, and anyone victim to it gets boils, a fever, and dies within a matter of hours.
☼ Spring is when the plants revive themselves again and the territory regains most of its color back. The plants are babies and grow until summer hits, so the toxins are back but less harmful. Fogs only occur during the mornings and acid rains dominate, causing the hair and the skin to burn.
The plant life is what makes the territory superbly unique.
Plants in The Solis Imperium's territory have nocturnal patterns. While most of the plants are active during the day, they're sluggish at most, and during the night is when they become a bigger problem. Glowing in the dark, it's best to remain inside the camp, lest you wish to face their wrath. Some key plants are listed here, and more will be added as time goes on!
☼ THE PAELEX SUAVIUM "MISTRESS KISS": The Paelex Suavium is the same venus flytrap that poisons the air in the territory. They're unnaturally large and come up in a variety of colors dependent on where they're born. On the beeches, they tend to come in the mossy or grey variety, and in the forests the same green of the grass, though a shade lighter. They hide awaiting prey. When they spot it, they strike quickly, biting it and rendering it immobile as the poison enters their systems and they slowly die. Their corpses provide nourishment to the ground below and help keep it healthy.
☼ COCONUT TREES: The radiation and experimenting has caused the coconut trees to act as a counter to the Paelex Suavium, helping to relieve the poisons. The milk is sweet but has grown bitter due to the radiation, and it's unhealthy to ingest in large amounts.
☼ BIRD'S EYE BERRIES: These berries are a milky white with black dots in the center. Mixed with the coconut trees and ounces of the poisons from the Paelex Suavium, they can make animals immune to the poisons in the territory. They have a salty tang, and are plentiful near the beaches with the coconut trees, but also near any other water source.

None of these images belong to me. They all belong to their respective artists, and I'm only showing them to reference what the territory looks like.
In addition,
☼ All insects on the island have also been experimented on, but to such a lesser degree that they only retain a glowing color, useful for making lights.
☼ Main sources of prey include - but are not limited to - birds of prey, fish, and anything one can find beneath the flora of their territory (rabbits, voles, mice).
