Relief briefly flashed across Axel's face when he saw Teddy come over, but very quickly that relief faded when he realized that it was because the people around them had drawn the leader to them. Axel realized with the way that Teddy walked that he had some sort of significance here. Ever the optimist, that relief returned and he walked ahead of Ves, sticking his hand out in greeting--everyone liked a good handshake, right?
Ves stopped walking behind him to pet his cat and baby talk her, ignoring the conversation in front of him. Axel turned to look at him before facing Teddy again. He swallowed. This was a different place, his brother was not longer in control. Axel couldn't hide behind the fact that his brother was the leader of a whole group anymore. They were just two dudes standing on someone else's property. Standing before someone who owned said property. At least there's only one, right? Axel thought to himself, giving a shaky half-smile.
"The Badlands? Oh- um, I'm Axel. This is my brother, Ves- Vesania. Vesania." Axel pointed towards Ves, who's attention peaked for a second before returning to his cat. "We come from Los Santos, it's...shambles now." He rubbed the back of his neck and shrugged, acting as if this information was just something casual to hand over.
Ves noticed Salem was staring at his cat, and a bit self-conscious, Ves pulled Twinkie even further towards his chest and stared back, squinting. If there was one thing about Ves, and the fact that he's wearing that damn ridiculous straw hat to avoid his paper-like skin to burn, it was that he was not shy about staring. Most people that found a problem with this would often end up at his feet, begging him to leave them be. He was a dirty fighter, and he wasn't afraid to show off.
Axel cleared his throat, and Ves broke his attention for a moment to look towards him and he finally noticed Teddy. "Oh shit, hello."
