Sean glanced up at Cas. He met his gaze. God damn it. He couldn’t say no to Cas. He nodded. He raised a hand, drying his eyes before moving over to the bedside table where his cellphone was kept. He then dialed Sam’s number, waiting for him to pick up.

Sam had managed to get Jack to lay down. The boy wasn’t exactly sleeping, but he was resting. Sam was stroking his hair slowly, but looked down when his phone started ringing. He hesitated before answering it. “Hello?” Sam asked.

“Sam...Where are you right now?” Dean asked. Sam narrowed his eyes, gripping the phone a bit.

“You told me to get the hell out. So I did. I’m staying with Jack because it’s clear he’s not safe with you and neither am I.” Sam muttered. Dean sighed, running a hand over his face.

“Sammy-“

“No, don’t.” Sam whispered, looking down. “Don’t call me that. Not after what you’ve done.” Sam said. Dean was silent for a momemt.

“Sam, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for the way I’ve been acting. You...You we’re right. Jack has a chance to be saved. He has a chance to be a good person. And he’s lucky to have you as someone to look up to.” Dean whisoered. Sam swallowed, looking down. “...Can you bring Jack home? I don’t know how but...Castiel is back. I think it’s only right to let the kid see his dad.” Dean whisoered.

Sam’s eyes widened. He glanced down at Jack. “Y...Yeah.” Sam said and then hung up
