After he'd scolded the young man, more of his people came to join him. A part of him hoped they weren't offended, but the rest of him said he didn't care. Cassidy nodded at the young woman as she approached, dipping his hat slightly. She introduced herself as Jen.
He'd have to surrender his weapons? That didn't appeal to him much. "now will I get them back? You see, I'm a hunter, and my weapons are rather necessary for the sport." how was he supposed to hunt without a weapon? Did these people sustain themselves by simply disarming their visitors and then robbing them blind?
A third citizen approached him, mumbling about something. His name was Roy. "the names Cassidy. Cassidy Reid. It's a pleasure to make y'alls acquaintance. I'm not planning on staying forever, but I've been traveling for a long while now and a good rest would do me, and Friday here, some good." he reached out and patted the dappled gray's neck.
