Noct nodded a bit. Gladio nodded, frowning. "I know the best people to be placed with them." He said. Noctis glanced at the men.
"Then it's settled. Until you three leave you're going to be watched by some guards." Noctis said. Gladio then left to go get the guards.
One of the men frowned. "Noctis, was it?" The man asked. Noct glanced at the man. "Do you even know how to run a kingdom? I mean, I've heard some of your folks talking. They don't seem confident in you. They know you're not going to be as good as your father. Some are even talking about how they're not safe there. They disagree with your decision of letting our people here." He said.
Noctis stared at him. He opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. He closed his mouth. "They are free to think as they please. If they do not wish to stay here, I will not keep them." He said. He blinked. "I may not be as good as my father was. But I'm doing my best." Noct said.
The men started laughing, watching him. Noct narrowed his eyes, watching them. He seemed to shrink a bit. "Oh look at the kid! Scared of a few men! He's not fit to be a king." Another man said. "Look kiddo, why don't you run along and leave us adults alone? You clearly can't run this place properly. I suppose our king can take over." He said. The men then turned around, about to hit the woman and her husband again, but Noctis quickly grabbed the man's wrist, holding his arm in place before he could hit her.
"That's enough." Noctis hissed, watching them. One of the others suddenly pulled out a dagger. Before Noctis could move in time, he managed to slash Noctis on the face. Noctis stumbled back, hissing in pain as a hand instantly moved to rest on the right side of his face. He glared at the men.
