she had been...what was the phrase? missing in action, so to speak. it was truly embarrassing, coming back after so long but the badlands was familiar to her; familiarity was something not short of rare, in the world, and even if the badlands wasn't exactly the safest, she had no where else to go. "hey dylan," the woman would greet as she approached. a small smile was shot the boy's way and she turned it onto charlie as she gave him a glance. "i'll tag along, too. an extra pair of hands can't hurt."
