"Ohhhh my." His gloved hand had been brought to his mouth in some shock--he'd known the man to be a hunter and he'd assumed him skilled--but this? It could feed quite a lot of them. It was impressive, for lack of a better word, and Mettaton, who was still getting over an illness, wasn't feeling aggressive enough to do more than take the situation at face value. "How lovely..." He mused quietly, his nose wrinkling a bit at the scent. It wasn't to his liking, and made his stomach turn a bit--nothing he wasn't used to these past few days--but he couldn't deny the value of the kills. He thought about offering to help prepare them--but a) it was John, and b) he might vomit on them and no one wanted that.
Of course, as headhunter, he should perhaps have shown more interest. But....he couldn't really say the position gave him much interest anyway.

He's friendly, though quite self-centered, and likes to use pet names a lot--notably, calling people 'darling' quite often. He gets extremely enthusiastic about quite a lot, and thinks of himself as above most earthly things. Though he can seem shrewd and is certainly intelligent and creative, he can be quite idealistic, naive, and even gullible, easily manipulated. It can seem hard to shake his confidence, but he can be made an unwitting pawn of someone's game if they know how to play him.
