The greenhouse was steamy. He'd been watering the seedlings carefully, worried of washing them out of their little plastic containers. A lot of them had holes in them--more than they were meant to--but they still did their job. So far, they had asparagus, mint, and carrots. A few others were stored, not yet planted. He was being cautious, but thanks to the few books they had on gardening, the carrots should be okay. He wasn't certain about the mint, but for now they had nothing to transfer plants into outside of the greenhouse; this was mainly an experiment.
It was large enough for maybe three people to squeeze in and work with the shelves of planters; the box of seed packs and a small bag of fertilizer was stored in here, along with a few of the gardening books. And....a magazine or two that Johannes had snuck in there. They were not particularly good, but one had pictures of nice houses and gorgeous gardens, so he liked to look at it while he was...using the greenhouse to hide. From everyone.
At least now he was actually working.
