John scoffed at both of Metta's sentences; like hell he wasn't armed, and he just wanted to talk? Fat chance. Mettaton had shown he'd be very happy to do much more then just talk. John didn't drop his spear or relax, and he kept his eyes locked on Mettaton; resembling more like a scared, cornered dog then anything else.

"Nope, I'm good. Say what you want to say." John said, keeping his words quick and to the point. He was slightly frustrated with the face that Metta seemed at most annoyed with his efforts to be intimidating; but then again, Metta had heard him scream like a bitch as he got the shit beaten out of him so he doubted he'd ever regain the respect he'd had before then.
