He looked to her once more, he was uneasy and sometimes it came out in the worse of ways. He reached up slowly to rub the back of his neck and he exhaled a bit before rolling his shoulders and nodding to her. "Oh -oh, well..T-thank you." He said before gazing towards his tattered high tops and he let his toes kick at the ground idly before he looked back up at her. His gaze softer, more relaxed and he exhaled some. She seemed  to be someone of a rather high tier and he rather not get on her bad side - or try his best at least.

His right hand came to his abdomen as it growled and rumbled, his body felt weak from old stab wounds and lack of food but he remained strong, this was the last place to grow weak. "I..I can do either, I enjoy combat a bit more - so I guess..a fighter? I am alright hunting for food as well..as you can see I am not quite that well though." He chuckled trying to ease the tension. "I'm sorry for the glare; I am just guarded at all times. I know you must be wanting to laugh at me for purposely coming here for a 'new start' but believe me; this is already better." He insisted with a calm smile and he reached into his pockets idly the bag on his back feeling a big heavy and his katana hitting against his shoulder as he warily looked around. "Thank you for accepting me in, Tatiana." He hummed.

"Thank you for having me, and I am sure you would've killed me if you wanted; I am not worried. You would be faster than me anyway, since you are shorter, you can hit me in places its harder to guard." He said in a bit more playful way with a heinous grin creeping across his pale chapped aperture.

His attention was caught by another feminine voice and he turned his attention over to her with a subtle but uncertain smile as he bowed his head some to her. "Hello Sylmae, Damien Noir, it's a pleasure to meet you as well! I suppose there are probably more people here than I thought; no bother. I am not scared, sorry if I came off that way; just cautious." He hummed before seeing her touch at her frame; she must of been injured as well. He blinked to her words of food and a soft groan escaped his lips as he nodded slowly. "Starving..That would mean a lot to me, how could I repay you?" He whispered keeping a few glances between the females and then his feet. He felt a bit under dressed, but, he was new to being alone, he would manage with what he brought, over time he figured he'd find his life going better.
