[table]The woman was an odd sight; a glittering plastic gem hanging from a thin cord around her neck, a large raincoat covering her form and tough jeans that looked to be stained with something dark. She'd been walking for fucking ages in the snow-ridden hellscape that made up the mountains near the Flintlock Lodge, but at least she knew there wasn't a sane fucker in the world that was going to follow her up here.
Her stomach growled and she groaned miserably. The last she'd eaten was two days ago when she'd come across an old convenience store that still had some cans of preserved peaches abandoned on the shelves. There were still about three cans left in the greyish-brown backpack strapped to her shoulders, but she was saving those for tonight.
She knew there was something up here; a town perhaps? She didn't know if she was excited at the prospect of seeing another living human or dreading it. The last person she'd seen had ended up dead and thrown into the ocean by her own hand, though she had her reasons for it. Reasons that hopefully these mountain people wouldn't ever hear about.
Wait.. Was that a fence? What the fuck? Narin sped up and trotted over to the fence, her eyes narrowed as she examined it. Who had the time to maintain a fence in this weather? Who thought this was even a good idea? She could easily scale it or cut through if she wanted.
Letting out an exasperated sigh, she turned and started walking along the border outside of the fence. She wasn't much in the mood to get tied up in that, especially when she had no idea if she was being tailed or not.
