Snow, ice and this biting wind pricking at her exposed skin felt foreign and she had half a mind to just turn back and never return, but, she made a promise to herself. Those were things she never broke. Or at least tried her damn hardest not to. Adjusting the dark cloth masking her nose and below, she crept forward on the balls of her feet, silent and swift like a cat stalking their prey. Her gait was smooth, graceful without misplacing a single step to throw off this elegant walk. She seemed like a dark figure traversing effortlessly across a sheet of white, her cloak hiding away the slim, toned physique beneath. Her shaggy, black hair fell right into her eyes, but that did nothing to obscure her sharp vision. Each step she took forward, she began to have second thoughts, thinking that they might not take her in, after all, she was a bit too much of a handful. As she approached the lodge, her heart rate quickened, thumping in her throat. This was it, she supposed. There was no turning back now.
Daesung lowered her head, waiting by the entrance to the lodge for someone to see her and perhaps not attack her. She was armed and prepared to fight if need be. But, they had more numbers and could quickly take advantage of her. Would that scare her? Hell no. She wasn't scared of anything. Death was like child's play to her. It was inevitable, anyway, so why be afraid of it? Everyone was going to meet their demise at some point in time and if hers came sooner, then so be it.
