He smiled and chuckled, before looking up to see a woman (ricks mother) in the hallway, arms crossed. "You were supposed to be home an hour ago."

He frowned, watching her. "I'm sorry mother. I...I had to stay and help Daryl with some homework. I was going to let you know Inwas going to be home late but I forgot to." He said

She crossed her arms and rose an eyebrow. "That's funny, since his brother stopped by wondering when daryl would be coming home." She said. "You went to lori's party, didn't you?"

He blinked, glancing at Daryl before looking at his mother. "Yes, I did." He admitted quietly.

She sighed. "If you had just asked, I would have let you go. You're not a little kid now, and I know you'll want to go to parties. But I'm assuming daryl a brother wouldn't?" She asked. Daryl shook his head.
