He had to get surgery to get his metal claws into his serval body, and the only ones that know how are his family xD So that would mean he would have to go back to the Zoldyck estate to get it done haha. Well its kind of his security blanket if you think about it? Its the one reliable part of his body that he can use in battle. He even uses them a lot in the chimera ant arc too. So he might just want them to have something to fall back on in case something goes wrong.
