— it felt like the last week had gone by so fast. after so long of feeling bored of this place and all the chores, the snow, the lack of things to do... fred was finally catching his stride. eyes wandered over towards eddie as he pulled a chair over, sitting down in front of the fireplace. "is there even much to say?" he asked casually, voice lacking any malice. more so just a new sense of calm. things were relaxing for once, after fred and will finally got revenge on that group that stole from them. eyes lingered on ed before wandering through the other people gathering around.

❝ Is there even much to say? ❞ were the first words spoken to Eddie, the Captain shifting his gaze to observe Freddie briefly for a moment before looking away again. ❝ A thing or two. ❞ He chose to respond with matter-of-factly. Seemingly one of the only genuinely civil discourse between two cousins in some time. He waited for a couple more minutes before he finally began the meeting.

❝ Firstly, I think we ought to welcome Maise to Flintlock Lodge. She’s a doctor - a good one at that - so treat her well. ❞ He paused for a moment, eyes shifting across the group all gathered in the lounge. ❝ So the camping trip went down a success. I hope everybody had some time to unwind and relax, ready for the springtime. ❞

Eddie was quiet again, evidently deep in thought as he glanced to the side out of the window. An idea. A vision had lingered in his mind. ❝ By the summertime, I would like for the village to become a fully functioning hub. ❞ He turned his head to look back towards the group. ❝ A fun little project, ‘ey? There is so much that is yet to be utilized - it’s only right for us to do so, I think. ❞ All in his attempt to revolutionise the lodge. Make use of everything that its current infrastructure had to offer.

He wagged a finger towards the group, features impassive yet eyes set aflame by his vision. ❝ Not only will we be strong as a self-sufficient group, but we will become strong as a group that other groups, and travelers, and loners, and traders will rely on. This will give us such a strong footing in this New World and therefore stability and security. No more worrying because some little bastards decided to steal our supplies. ❞

Alfie whooped supportively. Eddie nodded his head, mind working like cogworks in the way he meticulously thought through his idea. ❝ Anybody is free to open up shop down in the village- ❞ William interrupted as he pointed out, ❝ Think Freds plans on opening up his very own one-man broth- ❞ ❝ Thank you, Will. ❞ Ed cut him off before he could finish his thought, Will and Alfie both snickering to themselves as Ed tried to stop the smallest of amused smiles twitch at his lip.

❝ I plan for whatever renovations to be complete by the summer so that it can start being used. So, that means we will need all of you helping out. Does that sound good? ❞
