i just skimmed through all your incredible ideas
and i think this is my favorite layout
idk how i feel about privates being in each group since it is difficult having to choose which board if the pair's from two different groups

also idk how i feel about getting rid of advanced rp board
since it is like. the only board i actually rp on from the other rp.
but if i'm just one person that opposes it then i'm fine with whatever <3

This is mobile so it may come out as the weirdest looking thing but this was what I think would be the best. Advanced having its own board still, reason being it’s not necessarily a human board?? Like yeah I think it’s only rlly been used for human threads but I feel like advanced should be kept open for all types of roleplay

now, i’d be all for this, but the last time the advanced area was a thing, it got super cliche-ie, if that’s how you spell the group thingy. i think if the advanced area IS gonna come back, it’s definitely shouldn’t be a main focus where you can see if first thing. this place is meant to be for all skill levels, and having an ‘advanced board’ front and center can be discouraging.

i see your point, but the advanced board is already on the front page and it hasn't been causing any issues as of recently. what i was trying to say is that i think it should remain where it is for now as it is still being used regularly for advanced private threads.

alternatively, if the advanced board is daunting to some then perhaps we should rename it to "private threads" so that there is a place for people to do their non-tnw private threads. it seems that's what it's being used for nowadays anyway.

Dittoing; it was only cliquey when the arps or whatever was a thing. Since then it's mainly been a place for people to rp private threads, but I've seen semi advanced threads there as well. It's welcoming for people to work on their writing, not for people to shame others because they can't write as much. I've seen threads there where people only wrote two sentences a post; advanced is subjective. That's just how I see it.

honestly, i 100% agree that if its just being used for private threads, maybe it should be like the private threads forum? it’s still kinda one of those things where it’s like “if i don’t write a novel, i’m not allowed to post or plot with the people there”, and considering the site advertisements say that this place is for all skill levels, no wc, etc, i feel like it would just make things seem.. i wanna say “nicer” upon first glance, ya kno? i’m not sure if that’s the right wording but

if I didn't comment on it there's a really good chance I agree with it and have nothing else to add

I think privates still being its own thing is ultimately for the best, especially considering how often threads there don't take place in any of the groups at all.

I'm down with making an archive! my big fear is always that ppl that want to find threads from a certain group not being able to maybe that's bc I've got my own group in there. but then loner lands is flooded with prefixes and ik ppl don't like how many there are so. yes an archive sounds great

and the backboards being more accessible? *chef's kiss* I can't tell you how many times a day I'm going into the backboard groups section to see if any of my threads have gotten replies bc you can't tell from the main page

personally speaking, I like having the advanced board. I can't think of a time I've used it, I guess because I haven't felt advanced enough either. But it's still got its place on the site, people still use it and not strictly for private threads either. bb puts p much all of its focus on tnw, which is for all skill levels, all word counts. but if people want to do something different, like roleplay warriors or modern humans, they go to the other section. same deal with advanced. I think it could probably be moved to be a sub on the other roleplay board (rather than human since it's not strictly human) so it's less prominent.

this is just my opinion I'm not trying to offend or upset anyone with it
