okay so yes i really want to get mickey more active in flintlock. i made some rather rushed/simple tags below for my troubled boi.

i kind of was looking to see if there'd be a love interest he could have- but i would want it to be in such a way that he ends up breaking up with them when things begin to get too serious between them. it'd be hard for the two of them, and honestly that'd be iconic.

he's open to friendships, enemies, romance, helping others learn how to fight and/or teaching basic medical knowledge, helping with injuries, etc. i'm honestly all ears.

he's closed for killing others, dying, doing anything that generally doesn't seem like the right thing to do. he's troubled but he's a good boy at heart.

[align=center][div style="width: 550px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 8.3pt; letter-spacing: .3px; line-height: 1.35;"]this is really rushed, but perhaps he and zayden would get on? he has a lot of the friendliness and charm that mickey has buried over the years once he gets to know somebody, and is compassionate enough to know how to respond to people who are more distant than warm. he doesn’t smoke as much as he used to, either, but he would in a social situation? sort of like drinking, but he’s more liberal with alcohol than he is with cigarettes. he also intimately knows the difficulties that can accompany coming out, first to yourself and then to others — though he was (relatively) lucky, he still has empathy for those who aren’t, and if he finds out, he can lend an understanding ear because of his own experiences. regardless, i feel like there could be some chemistry.

zayden tries to mask the urge to cough with conversation. he succeeds mostly, i think, but he’s definitely convincing himself that social smoking is for the greater good (or, at least, to help mickey).

at some point he’ll have to return the favour with some sort of “if it wasn’t obvious before now, same.”

i tend to keep romance open unless there’s a plot reliant on it, but it’s always on the cards! that being said, angst is always tempting, as much as i like to... give my characters freedom, so to speak. they fall for people at random and indiscriminately, and i never know when to expect it. you’d think being the writer would give me control
