also here's the #concept

two werewolf packs have been used to a good slice of territory that border the other, both of them are hostile, but not openly threatening. a human development has arisen, and suddenly one territory is being shrunk as hunting places fail and humans come closer and closer to the pack's central ground. at first, the other pack doesnt do anything to help, until they realize it's happening on their land as well, forcing the two of them to work together to either fight back/ find a new home

Ok question times, do we want the “aggressive” vs “pacifist” group OR equally aggressive groups but one group prides themself on stealth and non-melee fighting and the other one is based off strength stamina and physical combat becuase option 2 is what I’m tbknkkng

when this r e p e t i t i o n ends behind the window shades, a semi-conscious sorrow sleeping in the bed I've made  —— that most unrestful bed, that most original of sins, and you'll say that's what I get when I let ambition win again. I'd hate to let you [sub]down,[/sub] so I'll let the waters [sup]rise[/sup] and drown my dull reflection in the naïve expectation in your eyes. back in a cast bit-part, back when I felt most free, I had a butcher's / heart and no-one thought they knew me         .        .        .        .        .         .          [ ★ ]

YARROW PACK
- lives in largely open areas, meadows, they have a beach that's on the far edge of their territory. they frequently quarrel over the mountain part of their territory with snek pack. their diet consists of larger animals such as elk/moose/deer/cougars/BIG animals mmmkay
- physically muscular, with broad shoulders and strong legs (both in human and wolf form). coat/hair colors are largely lighter browns, blondes, ect. ect, things to blend into open areas. their fur does turn white or silver in the winter to reflect the mountains.
- the pack prides itself on togetherness. a pack cannot take down a moose alone, and they can't survive the winter without each other. they have a pack bond, a sort of "link" in each others' heads that lets them communicate in silence to each other
- matriarchal society, their ranking is based off the traditional alpha/beta/yaddayadda yadda. functions like classes in human society, youre born into a rank and often have to fight your way to get out of it.
- though the pack tries to avoid in-pack fighting, large conflicts are settled in physical combat on public display, where the two offenders fight until the other gives up or is killed. its harsh, but its life.

SNAKEROOT PACK
- forests, marshes, lakes and rivers consist of their territory. they frequently quarrel about the mountain territory as goats are some of their largest prey. their diet consists of smaller animals such as rabbits/mice/birds/squirrels/lizards/whatever you can kill yourself. additionally in their territory are a plethora of poisonous plants that they have cultivated/left to grow.
- physically sleek, with long legs and a thin build. coat/hair colors are often darker colors to blend into the forest floor. after years of swimming, their fur has developed similarly to an otter, longer top coat that keeps water out, and a softer, thick underfur.
- the pack prides themselves on independence. this group is individualistic, each required to pull their own weight - but that's all they're needed to do. their survival is dependent on themselves, if they're injured, they've gotta drag their way to the medic because nobody's gonna go look for them.
- patriarchal society, but very minimal in ranks. largely, there's an alpha, a beta, and a healer. an interesting addition to the ranks is omega, the official scapegoat of the pack that's usually done something wrong to the pack - and now has hell to pay.
- in-pack fighting is strictly prohibited. however, in pack poisoning is another. the pack's biggest talent is the ability to know to a point of instinct all the nasty ways you can harm someone with toxic plants. as these wolves grow up, they're expected to learn quickly what smells/looks like what - or they'll quickly find themselves throwing up a kidney.

general stuffa aobut the wolfies
- shifting on command, wolves during the months. during the full moon, they transform into a weird mixture of human and animal. depending on the self-control, they're able to function normally during this time, but if you're new to the concept/unstable, you'll become the classic bloodthirsty monster of legends.
- the whole "inner wolf" thing is stupid. they're the same creature no matter what
- also the whole "mate bond" thing is also stupid. that doesnt exist
- intensely territorial
