"Because people like your Dad and I can say that word, but little kids can't, honey." He said, frowning and gently brushing Carson's hair back.

carson frowned. “i’m practically an adult with how much i have to take care of them.” he muttered and pulled away.

Sighing, Eddie said quietly as he let his hands drop, "Carson, you know your Dad and I try our best to be around and to take care of everyone, but if we don't work, then nobody can eat."

he frowned. “yeah, but you’re never around, and dad is constantly exhausted so he naps a lot so i’m left with a bunch of toddlers.” he stated bitterly, getting back to digging.

Wincing, the male said softly as he watched Carson, "I promise I'll be around more soon, and hopefully your Dad can rest more and not be so tired.."

he huffed. “he keeps tearing up the garden and shit!” carson said. “and he scared sebastian, so..”

"Still, you should've just told your Dad so he could talk to the neighbors..." Eddie said, frowning.
