What should be Bearbones' main focus?

It would help me, for sure. I can't speak for like--what a majority wants, or what the people we want to advertise to want. I really have no idea what would appeal to more people. But for me what would interest me more is for one thing either explaining specifically why/how powers exist, diffrent reasonings for different things, its fantasy so just saying radiation caused all the craziness feels like a wasted opportunity when like. an original mythos could be created, or...idk. there's a lot of ways it could go but it seems like nothing's going to really change for the WHOLE game if it stays so fluid because there's not much that exists for the WHOLE game, only for individual groups as if they're each in their own world.

I like the unrealistic way wnr works, but there needs to be limits to that unrealism. there needs to be a lore, a reason to all these random powers and random stories all stiched together into a lame patchwork of confusing powers and mutations. but there's not. because it's earth, and apparently radiation just made things crazy, and that's... It? That's all there is to wnr. We tried to add lore, but really we just added an excuse that doesn't exactly DO anything for the game itself. It's right back to where it started, and though I really don't want to suggest starting with a blank slate because I have sixteen million characters with crazy histories and powers, honestly i just wish it was a blank slate?? Like. I wish it started out relatively normal and the whole game actually developed itself, but that would take too long, people would complain, people would make their characters weirder than rules allowed, and overall it wouldn't work. So that's the thing. It has to be unrealistic and confusing with no lore, or else people will complain, and that's what has pushed me away from wnr. I like unrealism, but I like controlled unrealism. Wnr is in no way controlled, and we're too deep into it to change anything without people getting mad. So that's why I voted only for tnw, because without HUGE change to wnr, it's kind of just? how it is.

idk from my perspective idk what would work bc i also feel like a lot of the problem is in how it got started, so gradually building lore isnt rlly that likely or feasible especially since it doesnt seem like thats been happening since it started

Personally for me, I'd have no problem creating lore for the world of WNR if they needed help creating one, but I guess to implement anything now would just conflict with some already existing characters and their backstories.

an alternative (??) i suppose is like

making an animal main game that isn’t wilderness rising - similarly to how when we merged and people’s animals like. “appeared” in the game - we could start building up the story of the world (maybe there’s no humans, maybe animals were drawn in (like narnia)), making it like. member- made where it’d be a lot of member plots and histories, and staff mostly just making sure it falls under a set of guidelines

wnr would still exist for the sake of character’s histories, but we’d be moving on to something different

thats why short of scrapping it or making people work with more lore i really. have no suggestions on how to increase its activity, bc lack of lore makes game-wide plots much trickier and p much just based on like. fighting or natural disasters which are kinda like. r e a l ly basic

my only worry is like rn we're not doing rgeat on activity either way so we might want to temporarily focus on only one game, and sorta move in with the other? idk

but. i really like the idea of a new game prsonally. id definitely be more inclined to give it a go and be a part of it

i think personally story wise with wnr. like we should knock out the concept of radiation or humans entirely - maybe radiation exists in the new game, but like i said like. a whole new world where humans haven’t existed and it kinda. sucks up animals and puts them somewhere - animals already exist there so like obviously there’s things that existed there n stuff - we could world build with concepts of creation, possible gods/conflicts/TERRITORY screams

I had an idea lore wise for it, but it really wouldn't explain all the powers you can end up buying in the shop. All it would include is how mutations were brought about and maybe touch base on strength and speed, but that would be it.

But, Crows that sounds great actually.
