Connor seemed to sense Gavin’s discomfort after a while. Connor let go of Gavin’s hand and moved his one hand away, clasping it with his other. RK glanced over when a nurse wandered over to them.

“Are any of you family to Hank Anderson?” The nurse asked. Connor glanced up at the nurse.

“No. We’re Just-“

“Yes. Connor here is the closest thing Hank has to a family.” RK said, suddenly speaking up. Connor glanced at him, a bit surprised.

“Very well. Connor, come with me. You can visit for a few minutes, but he is still asleep. And...Likely will be for some time. He’s still in a coma and we don’t know when he’ll wake...If he ever will.” She murmjred. Connor gave a faint nod before sitting to his feet. He then followed the nurse out of the waiting room.

RK watched them leave before looking away

gavin frowned, watching connor. “maybe i should go and wait outside the door so connor doesn’t try anything.”

RK frownwd. “What would Connor try? I know he’s upset, but he’s not going to lose hope that easily and attempt anything.” RK said. “And I’m beginning to think he’s right. That someone shot Hank and it wasn’t just Hank himself. If Hank had been the one to shoot, there’s no way he’s still be alive and in a coma. Someone else must have shot him in an area that caused him to fall into this coma. And Connor knows that too. So you know he won’t give up until he catches whoever did this.” RK said

he shook his head. “just.. you stay here.” he ordered and stood to go after connor.

He sighed, but nodded, staying put.

Once Connor had entered the room that Hank was in, he froze a bit. He stared over at Hank’s motionless body. He was hooked to so many different machines. The sight of this alone was already intimidating Connor. The nurse glanced at Connor. “I’ll leave you alone for a few minutes.” She said. She then left the room. Connor didn’t even seem to notice she had left. He slowly approached the older male, hesitantly reaching out and resting his hand on Hank’s, his fingers lightly brushing against his wrist.

“...Lieutenant ?” Connor asked quietly, as if hoping to get some response. Nothing. Connor tensed up a bit, looking the other over. “Hank?” Connor asked again, his voice cracking. Again, nothing. Connor’s breath hitches and he looked down, keeping a hold of Hank’s hand. He just focused on Hank’s faint pulse he felt in Hank’s wrist. It was reassurance he was still alive.

gavin watched through the window and frowned softly.

Connor soon looked around before finding a chair. He then moved over, gently bringing the chair closer to the bed before taking a seat. He then resumed his previous position, holding onto Hank’s hand tightly. He soon looked down, closing his eyes, taking a few deep, shaky breaths.

“I’m going to find the bastard who did this. I swear to you, Hank they’re not going unpunished.” Connor muttered. He suddenly looked really dangerous. He opened his eyes, staring at Hank silently.

he sighed softly and leaned on the wall quietly.

After a few mi it’s had passed, a nurse came back into the room. “Connor? I’m sorry dear but you’re going to have to leave now. The doctors need to administer him more medication.” She siad. Connor hesitated, giving Hank’s hand a soft squeeze before getting up and walking out to of the room.

He then halted when he noticed Gavin leaning against the wall. He looked him over for a moment before glancing away. “...I have some idea of who did this to Hank.” He whispered quietly.

he frowned softly. “we can talk about that tomorrow.” he said and hesitated before offering him a hug.
